HI friends! I don’t know about the rest of you, but picking my outfit for this ever changing weather is almost impossible, well at least it was. I was so tired of my winter clothes and so exited to wear my spring clothes that I couldn’t wait but put those two together. All of a sudden it opened a new perspective of my closet and gave be tons of new ideas about weather transition outfits. The best part about that is, I didn’t have to buy new clothes to look fresh. Here are some tips on how you can mix and match your winter/spring clothes for a new fresh trans-season look:

1.

Light layers over warm base & vise versa. This describes my outfit. I put on a chunky sweater and thick black tights and put on my denim on denim look that I would usually wear in the spring with a thiner base. If it’s too cold for this look, you can always add another coat on top of your denim jacket. Layering jackets is pretty cool too.

2.

Don’t give up your boots just yet. Knee high boots or your Dr. Martens are the perfect match to your weather transition outfit. Simply wear these with a maxi skirt and a chunky sweater. Is that time of the year when we are all fed up with heavy boots but it is inevitable that we have to keep them handy for at least another two weeks (Based on NYC weather).

3.

Can’t wait to start wearing your new spring dress. Well guess what, now you can! It’s super easy and it looks adorable. Simply add a long sleeve shirt or t-shirt to you sleeves dress, add a pair of tights and boots or sneakers and you are ready to go. Chunky sweater would be a little hard to wear under a light weight dress so you should avoid this, It is always easier to layer from light to heavy but the opposite way could work if done right.
