Hey migrators! We are almost half way through the week so why not start planning out the weekend a few days ahead, right!? This time I won’t be showing you how to be comfy and casual on the weekends. I think we are all experts in that. This week I am talking about how to elevate your weekend style by taking three simple steps during your weekend routine.

I’m not talking about the most comfortable sweater that’s about 8 years old and you don’t want to let it go because it brings you high school memories. I am talking about your latest ‘big purchase’ or the latest ‘investment’ piece you treated yourself with. A new favorite piece of clothing or accessories can bring a spark to your eyes. Isn’t that why we constantly crave buying? It is about how it makes us feel and how we want to be represented in the world. So use it to your advantage and show it off by being your best self.
2. Use high and low styling strategy
I believe that this kind of styling was invented by girls who like to be chic but also seek comfort. Mixing high and low can refer to mixing high end brand name items with casual, relatively inexpensive pieces. It can also mean mixing styles such as evening wear with day wear for example slip dress with t-shirt underneath or beaded maxi skirt with basic shirt. Sneakers have a big stand in this game. You can bring any high look to low weekend vibe by just adding a killer pair of sneakers.
3. Smart accessorizing
No, I am not talking about any new accessorizing technology. Simply be smart when you accessorize your weekend wardrobe. I recommend ‘less’ is ‘more’ but ‘some’ is definitely a must! Focus on your favorites whether is a hair band, colorful scarf or even a juicy little purse. Don’t forget to have fun!
